my first steps towards amigurumi. i guess technically it is my first amigurumi. i call him stitch (i know, not very original). just crocheted a ball, filled it with popcorn, and embroidered a couple of eyes (they are a little tough to see, silver XXs)…

im glad that we finally got some decent weather around here, although it isnt supposed to last too long. we had a bbq yesterday, and beth and i went bike riding on saturday. today i just had to get out and ride. i just picked up a new bike last month, a pretty nice commuter. then of course we get all sorts of bad weather. so i got out today and rode to and around seward park, pretty nice ride. i even got to try out my new helmet mirror. then i road into renton and over to south center. it was about 18 miles. i that that was pretty decent for my first real ride of the season. i am hoping to commute to work in downtown seattle this summer. this ride was a little farther than that commute round trip. so anyway, here is my route. i am going to have to try it again sometime. needless to say, i am pretty sore.
Its so beautiful out today, I couldn’t resist a ride on my new bike. Instead of heading out to alki though, I pedalled on over to seward park. Its pretty busy here. Now I’m going to head down through renton to south center. Wish me luck up those hills.
