good ride…
i have started riding my bike again. i havent ridden seriously in almost ten years. i used to be pretty serious about mountain biking, trail riding. i also did some pretty good urban rides around spokane and the portland/vancouver area.
so, i have been fixing up my bike over the last month so that i could get riding again. i replaced the brakes, brake cables and cable housing, seat post and seat (my old ones were stolen), and i picked up a couple of fun accessories. i have been trying to get out over the past week, and have ridden every day except for thursday. sunday, i rode from beths parents place in south park to alki beach and back. that was about 15 miles. over the week, i have done mostly short rides, but today, i did another long ride. i took a bus up to white center, rode from there to lincoln park, then up along the the beach around alki, then back down to south park along the duwamish river. that totaled 15.6 miles. although i used to go on much longer rides, i think that 15 miles is pretty good for starters. anyway, my route is below, and there is a picture of the view from alki in my previous post.
